Summer is indisputably the season of vacations, and the Poconos is the perfect place to get away, especially if you live anywhere in the tri-state area. I went hiking and camping in the Poconos two years ago, and had the time of my life. However, if I had to stack up camping outdoors with staying in a gorgeous tiny cabin with electricity and running water, I would probably choose the cabin every time.

These tiny cabins are available for rent in the Poconos, and the prices aren’t bad at all!

I know all I have to say is the word ‘treehouse’ to hook you, but this awesome treehouse sits on 40 acres of land including a river and a pond. It sleeps six, has electricity and a full bathroom. The only downside is you have to hike about 750 feet to get to it, but at only $142 it’s a total steal.

If u want to really escape, go off the grid with this cabin. It features electricity, a mini-fridge, and a coffee maker, but you have to deal with a composting toilet and it only sleeps three. There is, however, a small brook and swimming hole on the property, and it only costs $85 a night.

If you’re really into water, this cabin in Dingman’s Ferry is at the edge of the Delaware Water Gap, and only 3 miles from the waterfalls in George Childs Park. It sleeps two, and features a ladder loft. The average nightly rate is $120.
