One Lord of the Rings fan built a full-scale hobbit hole.
Truth be told, I have never actually seen all the Lord of the Rings movies. In terms of fantasy, I am much more into Game of Thrones than the stories of J.R.R. Tolkien. I haven’t been living under a rock for my entire life however, so I am very familiar with the mythology of the Lord of the Rings, specifically regarding the hobbits and the shire.
The shire is probably one of the more memorable things about the first few books, so it should come as a surprise to no one that super-fans all over the world have re-created hobbit holes of their own.

Located in Orondo, Washington, this authentic hobbit hole was built by a woman named Kristie Wolfe. The 288-square-foot tiny home was created using marine grade pressure-treated wood, and includes a circular doorway, stone fireplace, and a bathroom with a large wooden jacuzzi tub. The electricity comes from solar panels, and the home is heated in the winter using the fireplace, just as it should be.
Wolfe currently rents the home out for vacationers, so if sleeping in a hobbit hole is a fantasy of yours, get yourself to Washington this winter!via ]
