This modern dream beach house is made entirely out of concrete.
When you think of the term ‘beach house’, most of the time relaxed, laid back décor comes to mind. You don’t automatically associate beach houses with super modern concrete minimalist architecture. This beach house located in La Jolla, California however, breaks all the rules with no apologies.
Originally designed in 2013 by Jonathan Segal, the 5,480 square-foot, 4 bedroom, 4.5 bath home was built entirely out of concrete. It is a shining example of indoor-outdoor living, with glass walls everywhere, so the ocean views are unobstructed, and includes a unique open skylight above the patio to open the space up completely.
The home features a game room, wine cellar, and outdoor patio with a wraparound lap pool, and is on the market for $6.2 million.
So if you have been thinking of making the transition from city life to the beach, this house really is the best of both worlds.via ]
