Tampa Bay remains a lucrative market for new home buyers.
When it comes to Florida living, Tampa Bay has pretty much everything you could possibly want, from beautiful beaches, to a bustling urban area, and lots of charming bungalow homes ripe for the picking. This is no secret, as the Tampa market has been blowing up in recent years, with the prices of median homes steadily rising.
This trend continues this summer, with median house prices in Pasco County rising seven percent, down from 25 percent in January, but still in the green.
In Pinellas County, median home prices rose 13 percent, to $248,450, and in Hillsborough and Hernando, the price raised 6.6, and 10.6 percent, respectively.
Houses in the price range of $175,000-$230,000 seem to be doing really well, which is good because there are a lot of homes offered at that price.
Overall, the Florida real estate market is also doing well, with prices for single-family homes rising 9 percent to a $245,000 median. Townhomes and condos (of which there are many) rose 7.2 percent to $176,820.
If you are looking to buy in Florida, Tampa Bay is an excellent choice. I personally lived there for 8 years, and found that it has culture like Miami without the pretension, and natural beauty like North Florida, without the seclusion.
