One of the biggest homes in U.S. history is under construction in Los Angeles. This half billion dollar house will leave you wondering what the tax bill will be, at the very least.
The areas within Los Angeles such as Malibu and Beverly Hills are well known for sprawling mega mansions on hilltops featuring infinity pools, 360 degree views, and every amenity of which mankind could possibly dream. It should come as no surprise to anyone then, that the biggest, most expensive home in U.S. history is currently under construction in Bel-Air.
Residential developer Nile Niami hopes to sell the home for a record $500 million, and judging from the photos, the mansion looks to be worth it. The residence will cover 74,000-square-feet with three smaller homes, and will take 20 months to complete. When finished it will include a 5,000-square-foot master bedroom, a 30-car garage, and even a ‘Monaco-style casino’. Other amenities include four swimming pools, 20,000 square feet of grass, and a movie theater.
Thus far, the most expensive home ever was a $221 million London penthouse purchased in 2011, according to Christie’s. Currently on the market is a $425 million estate in France, and $400 million penthouse in Monaco.
With this home, Niami hopes to double the price of the previous most expensive mansion in the U.S., a $195 million home in Beverly Hills.via ]
