The Ford Estate in the Hamptons is set to hit the market at $175 Million.
When you think of the Hamptons, visions of fabulous mansions and luxurious beachfront properties immediately come to mind. Thus it should come as a surprise to no one that Henry Ford II, the grandson of the original founder of Ford Motors built a palatial family estate in Southhampton.
The home is currently one of the most expensive homes on the East Coast, and the most expensive listing in both New York and the Hamptons.
The 20,000 square-foot main house features 12 bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, a 60-foot pool, a spa, private tennis and basketball courts, a greenhouse, an outdoor kitchen, and 42 acres of beachfront property.
The home was previously sold in 2002 for about $22 million, and underwent a remodel in 2008.
When it comes to American History and pedigrees, Ford motors and the Ford family are pretty much as American as apple pie. Apple pies however, don’t typically come with a quarter mile of Atlantic Ocean shoreline.via ]
