The Jesus mansion: A home constructed for the second coming of Jesus is for sale in the Bronx.
Hidden away from the world in Riverdale, Bronx there is a mansion for sale that was constructed specifically to be the home of the messiah, Jesus Christ. You probably wouldn’t think of NYC as being the place of our nation’s only official Jesus mansion, but it is.
The spiritual palace is situated on the second highest peak in NYC and began construction in 1928 by the religious wife of a wealthy executive. Apparently she was part of a religious group that many considered to be a cult, and built the mansion for Jesus, even though she never lived in it. Her name was Genevieve Ludlow Griscom, and I kind of wish she was still on Earth with me so we could be friends. $100 says she threw the most interesting parties in town.

The Jesus mansion has 7 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, 3 half baths, and 15,000 feet of the kind of gaudy opulence that the real Jesus probably wouldn’t appreciate, should he find himself available to return. The home also features a conservatory, library, fitness center, home theatre, staff quarters, and wine cellar.
You can own the home that was built for Jesus for a measly $10 million, but the problem is you’ll have to move to The Bronx.
So I ask all the other borough-dwellers, is $10 million the right price for this national treasure, the Jesus Mansion of NYC?via ]
