When it comes to expensive mansions, we all expect extreme luxury and amenities, but some homes take that to the next level. Gwen Stefani’s eternally stylish mansion just hit the market, making us wonder just how much people are willing to pay for ambiance. Now, a new mansion is in our sights, and as America’s most expensive home, it does not disappoint in terms of bells and whistles.

Built by developer Bruce Makowsky, the $250 million dollar mansion in Bel Air is more than $100 million more expensive than the previous listing for most expensive home, which went for $147 million in East Hampton back in 2014.

The palatial mansion is 38,000 square feet, and has 23 bedrooms, 21 baths, and a 290-degree view of Los Angeles. The home comes with a staff of seven, two commercial elevators, three kitchens, five bars, a couples massage studio and spa, fitness center, 40-seat home theatre with a Dolby sound system, an 85-foot glass infinity pool with a hydraulic pop-up theatre screen, and 130 art installations of everything from sculptures of guns to a champagne pinball machine.

As if that wasn’t enough, there is also a ‘candy wall’ that cost upwards of $200,000, a gallery of vintage automobiles including Lamborghinis and Bentleys, and a four-lane bowling alley so luxurious it deserves its own feature in Architecture Digest.

If you ask me, this billionaire’s mansion is the perfect fit for a playboy who never wants to grow up, or a certain pop star that always seems to have trouble with his neighbors. Nobody can deny however, that this mansion is basically a superhero’s lair just waiting for a billionaire to swoop it up and use it as a home base to fight crime and entertain the ladies.
